Please welcome our new research associates
Brent Doil, B.S., joined the Prechter Fund research team as a Research Associate on December 9, 2013. Brent graduated from the University of Michigan in May, 2013 with a concentration in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience. His interest in studying the brain-behavior relationships of mood disorders led Brent to the Prechter Fund. As a Research Associate, Brent looks forward to working closely with participants and aiding in research projects. His current long-term goals are to attend a graduate program in Pharmacy.
Dominic Misiak received his B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan in December, 2013. He has had experience volunteering in a neuroscience lab assisting Geoffrey Murphy, Ph.D., and working for credit in a biopsychology lab assisting Terry Robinson, Ph.D. He has shadowed physicians in a variety of fields including psychiatry and interventional cardiology and is currently in the process of applying to medical school for the 2014 school year. His professional interests include the psychiatric understanding of drugs of abuse, addiction, and the nature of perceptual experience, with a direction toward discovery, therapy, and building public knowledge.
