Meet our team: Katharina Bergman, Marketing and Communications Specialist

We are pleased to welcome Kat Bergman as the Prechter Bipolar Research Fund’s new Marketing and Communications Specialist, filling a newly-created position. Kat will spearhead the integrated marketing communications efforts leading to increased program awareness and donor cultivation for the Prechter Fund.

In her new role, Kat will develop, implement, evaluate and execute strategic communications plans leading to increased awareness for the Fund. She will also coordinate and assure quality control of all data, events, stewardship and communications. Kat is experienced in all aspects of marketing communications, such as branding and corporate identity, website content management, newsletters and other print media, customer communications, press releases and media relations, advertising, promotions, social media and event management.

“I am very excited to work with Wally Prechter and be part of the team here at the  U-M Depression Center. It is my goal to increase the level of national and international awareness about bipolar disorder and the Prechter Bipolar Research Fund with its gene repository - the only independently funded repository in the nation. By raising awareness about the disorder, the fund and its mission, and thereby increasing donations to this deserving research project, I hope to do my part help individuals with bipolar illness live an excellent quality of life.”
